YOUR NEW ROLE:

The Himilo Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision and quality assurance of Himilo's programs and services. The role ensures all projects are delivered in line with organisational strategy, contractual obligations, policies and procedures. The Team Leader supports staff to deliver culturally responsive programs that strengthen community well-being, education participation, youth engagement and employment pathways. The Team Leader also coordinates internal communication, tracks progress against project KPIs, and support reporting, evaluation and stakeholder engagement activities.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

1. Team Leadership & Staff Supervision

  • Lead weekly team meetings and coordinate staff activities.

  • Provide individual supervision to staff on a weekly basis.

  • Monitor staff wellbeing, workload, performance and professional development.

  • Support staff to ensure activities and services reflect the needs and priorities of the community it serves.

  • Facilitate staff training and capacity building opportunities.

2. Program Coordination & Delivery Oversight

  • Provide oversight and guidance to program staff across all Himilo programs including youth engagement, education support, community programs and employment pathways.

  • Support program Leads with project planning, implementation and evaluation.

  • Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with funding agreements and reflect the needs and priorities of the community.

  • Coordinate program calendars, staffing and operational logistics.

  • Assist with the delivery of the Youth Advisory Committee.

3. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

  • Track progress against project KPIs and organisational targets.

  • Collate activity data and outcomes from staff.

  • Prepare program reports and provide information to the executive team.

  • Support evaluation activities across projects.

  • Maintain accurate program documentation and reporting records.

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure staff operate in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and funding requirements.

  • Monitor risk management and compliance obligations across projects.

  • Maintain documentation required for audits and reporting.

  • Support organisational governance processes where required.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for internal and external enquiries.

  • Maintain communication with partner organisations and stakeholders including Holstep Health, schools and community partners.

  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and collaborative planning activities.

6. Organisational Coordination

  • Coordinate internal communication between program staff, management and partners.

  • Escalate operational issues or risks to the executive team.

  • Support organisational planning and program development.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Essential:

  • Experience supervising staff or leading teams in a community, education or social services environment

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.

  • Experience monitoring programs and tracking outcomes or KPIs

  • Ability to support staff and maintain positive team culture

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

  • Experience working with culturally diverse communities

  • Knowledge of youth engagement, education support or employment pathway programs

  • Experience with program evaluation or grant reporting
